Project 55 Game Day Experience

One of our favorite aspects of Project 55 is the opportunity to provide children from the St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis with an exclusive, memorable Game Day Experience. Through this event, a child will be invited to attend a Blues’ home game at Enterprise Center. Our lucky guest will receive a video message from Colton on game day and will be hosted in all-inclusive seats. Our attendees are given the opportunity to watch warm-up from the penalty box, ride the Olympia during the intermission and will receive an autographed jersey signed by Colton.

The Spirit of Resilience

In October of 2018, Colton Parayko met Laila Anderson, a courageous 11-year old girl battling a life-threatening autoimmune disease. Their friendship grew over the next few months as Laila awaited a bone marrow transplant. Even as the St. Louis Blues were mired in last place, Laila never lost faith in her favorite team – and they never lost their faith in her.

It’s always special for the kids and families we serve to have a star athlete and local hero like Colton visit
St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

But it’s how genuine and warm he is in his interactions with them and with the members of our care teams that make each visit from Colton such a joy. He has demonstrated his commitment in a variety of ways, from helping a child celebrate their last chemotherapy treatment to inviting a patient and their family to a game. As valuable as he is to the Blues’ success on the ice, he is every bit as valuable to our community in the way he leverages his celebrity status for good. St. Louis Children’s Hospital – and the mission we serve – is better for having a friend like Colton Parayko.
